I was hoping for a match that would live up to the hype. I was sorely disappointed. In a match with two 150 lbs guys with movie star faces, over 1000 punches were thrown in total. At the post fight press conference there was not one scratch, bump, black eye, cut, nick, scrape, welt, blemish or contusion!
How do two guys fight for 12 rounds and come out unscathed?
Contrast that to last Saturday night. My training club, the legendary Kombat Arts, hosted a 15 fight amateur boxing card. We grabbed a VIP table. It included a buffet dinner, private access to the ultra lounge, and ringside seats for the night. Cost? $59.00
