In the race for the Democratic nomination, Barack Obama, champion for a change in Washington and campaign reform, pushes the notion of hope against the stigma of fear that has been clouding campaigns in recent years. He is clearly against "politics as usual" and wants to change the political landscape. His opponents want to make that hard for him, and he has been forced to engage in some negative campaigning in order to stay in the race.
