But isn't that a cop-out? If I have 100 people visit my shop every day, but I only sell to 5 of them, I'm missing 95 opportunities to make more money.
I come across people every day who get excited when they get lots of traffic to their website but then don't make any money of them.
then again, rereading your comment, there's a bot of a contradiction. If you have a low conversion rate, you aren't making money off the traffic. The conversion rate refers specifically to the amount of traffic that spent money.
Honestly, I don't agree with number 2, fully. It depends on what kind of website you have when it comes to traffic. If you have traffic, you can still find ways to make money from that and hopefully overlook the low conversion rate.
