IOC adds rugby sevens and golf to 2016 Olympics

The IOC announced Rio's successful bid for the 2016 Olympic Games last week.

The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro will include rugby union sevens, a shortened version of the 15-player game, and golf as sports, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced.

Seven sports are seeking inclusion into the 2016 Olympics they are: Golf, seven aside Rugby, baseball, softball, squash, karate and roller sports. Only TWO of these sports will win entry by voting of the International Olympic Committee. Baseball and softball are separate entries. Tiger Woods has already said he will play if golf becomes an Olympic sport (he will be 40 at that time)
